“Oh you have always spoken your mind, you can never know how it feels to be not able to speak your heart!!!” said, someone.

I replied, “but how are these two even related?”

“Does your mind not shout aloud what goes within? Is your mind not a reflection of what you speak? Replied that someone.

I smiled and kept quiet!


The expression is an art, not the world at large has. But the ones who do practice it are often misconstrued. Being expressive is a trait most often judged as being open to the concept of comfortably sharing what you feel, which has always been a struggle for me. Not because it is something that I want to change but because at times it is difficult for people to perceive you as YOU. Well nobody is at fault either.

Now let me be very precise that here we are not talking about expressing your feelings for someone, be it good or bad, romantic or something you don’t appreciate at all. That takes time too. People take their own sweet little time but communication should always be the key. At least you can answer yourself that you tried your best. But it’s an entirely different story altogether. Probably would take a separate post on this.

We are talking about something that you feel good about but you might just want to keep it confined to you or the internal grapple that everyone on this planet earth faces on a daily basis with themselves. It can literally be anything, your past, present or future. You wanna share the bliss! Go ahead.
If it is something positive it doesn't bother anybody, does it? But if it is not you may not prefer to put your soul on display even if you feel the ache in your gullet. If you can handle it you can totally keep it to yourself and it is absolutely fine but make sure to not water it and it doesn’t affect the kind of person you change into. If it does, always work towards shifting your focus and directing yourself into something that makes you forget it for a while and later it will be gone and you wouldn’t even realize. In no means, it shows any disrespect or mistrust to the people in your close vicinity neither it makes you any less vocal. Rather the ones who care will always wait for you to be ready if at all you are willing. But If you can’t handle it do not suffocate yourself, do make it a point to bring it to someone you feel your mess is safe with. They might not give you the solution but they can give you a shoulder.
Soul
There is a ginormous difference in speaking your intellect and heart. And I can’t emphasize enough on the fact that your mind not necessarily has to be the reflection of you as a being.
Speaking your mind or expressing what you think in a discussion be it one on one or one to many, determines your understanding and perception on a showstopper genre which may be wrong or right. It is the exchange of views on an individual level. But being able to talk about something you want to keep away from peoples' judgment is completely a personal choice and it has got nothing to do with you being on point articulate.

So before you judge those outspoken, smiling faces think twice, because you never know what it took for someone to get out of bed, stand tall and be that presentable in front of you acing the craft of eloquence.
